MILITARY SUSPENSE/CHRISTIAN FICTION

CALLED TO SERVE Series

Lance Corporal Bekah Shaw joined the Marine Reserve to support herself and her young son when her ex-husband decided they were no longer his responsibility. Deployed to Somalia for her current tour of duty, she learns that her team must protect international humanitarian efforts and hunt down the factions responsible for the violence and carnage. The mission seems straightforward until the team encounters a renegade, a ghost who seems to be fighting against both sides.

Rageh Daud once lived in contentment with his family in Mogadishu, Somalia. But when that life was torn from him by a terrorist attack, he vowed to avenge his loved ones whatever the cost. Raising an army of men from the displaced people groups scattered through the countryside, his only goal is destruction—until he encounters an orphan child he feels compelled to protect.

When their worlds collide in a desperate situation, Bekah’s Marines and Daud’s militia realize that their only hope for defeating a common enemy—and their only chance at staying alive—may be to form an unthinkable alliance.

NCIS Series

The death of a fellow NCIS agent in North Carolina leads Will Coburn and his special team of naval crime-scene investigators to discover a drug-and-arms smuggling ring. The investigation leads them to a U.S. military base in South Korea. When a body is stolen from a crime scene, the team discovers that their suspect is not who he seems. Nuclear weapons have gone missing, and it's a race against time as the NCIS team uncovers the true face of evil.

While investigating the abduction/kidnapping of a marine captain's teenage daughter, Will Coburn and his team of NCIS agents discover a link to a high-profile murder that took place more than seventeen years ago. As the team investigates, they discover a trail of lies, betrayal, and a political cover-up. Forensics specialist Nita Tomlinson will need a faith deeper than she can imagine as she struggles with the past and a family that she can no longer ignore.

Commander Will Coburn's NCIS team is investigating the carjacking and assault of a young Marine and his wife. All evidence points to Bobby Lee Gant, son of the notorious criminal and suspected international drug smuggler Victor Gant. When NCIS agent Shel McHenry is wounded during a botched arrest, the team rallies around him even as Victor threatens retribution.

Meanwhile, in west Texas, Shel's father, Tyrel McHenry, struggles with his own demons as buried secrets from a war long since fought come to light. The path he chooses will change his—and Shel's—life forever.

There is a new novel out on Amazon/books titled Flags and Tears. The story is a historical fiction about England's first invasion of the mountainous Afghanistan. The saga historically follows the timeline of events. Many of the characters are based on those actually involved. The epic has never been told in novel form.

The political intrigue in the overthrow of the Afghan Emir is one layer of the plot; along with a war time love story. A diverse cast of players, including world leaders, spies, a smuggler, a kidnapped wife, a priestess, beautiful women and soldiers, are woven into the cultural, religious tapestry of Afghanistan and India during England's 19th century rule.

Marvel at how history repeats at different times and places.

Thanks, Derek. I hope to get to more NCIS stories soon.

And Michael, yep, history repeats. Take a look at the Crimean War and the present day problems we're having in the Ukraine.

Called to serve is a great series but I agree that it needs the third book. Will one be come in the near future or is this going to be it for Charlie Company?
