The seventh film in the Jesse Stone series, created by Robert B. Parker, airs tonight on CBS at 8 Central time. I've enjoyed all the others, and I sincerely hope that Tom Selleck doesn't get so busy with his successful show Blue Bloods that he doesn't have time to do more of these.
The shows are about an LAPD homicide investigator that moves to a small Massachusetts town and uncovers very personal crimes. He's a recovering alcoholic and trying to get past his ex-wife's infidelity. Stone is at once very tough and very vulnerable, and this is the best acting Selleck has ever done.
